Why do so many ppl doubt that there could be a planet that small?

This attack makes me think of Barry Allen in the CW's The Flash when he used his own lightning as a weapon by grabbing it while running and throwing it at someone or something. If the Resistance after this movie started developing cruisers that were armor, shielded and maybe had a phase cloak to move through solid matter and had computers that could make their attack a million in a million instead of one in a million then it could work. For that amount of power it have to be a lot in the Hyperdrive engine and all other Resistance ships need to get the fuck out of way when they ram it through a First Order ship. Either way, that's just my two cents.

Idk I feel like the fandom is more harmful to Star Wars than anything that’s been written. You make a good point about liking the ambiguity of the series and getting to debate things. But I feel like people aren’t mad because all the ideas are genuinely bad, a lot are, but because it’s not the idea they had so it feels like a betrayal because the movie or show or book is telling you, you were wrong.

This looks so much better than the Ep.III shuttle, not the open spaces in the wings but the rounded cockpit doesn't seem to suit most tri-wing shuttles which had an angular cockpit/bridge module. The three rounded engines on each side look like a nice precursor to the Lambda's single tube-like engines on either side makes it look even better

I really dislike the remastered versions of the show. It never needed to be done. It suggests it wasn't good enough which I think is insulting. I also think it deserves to be seen as it was. The original work deserves to be seen and preserved. It's akin to what they're doing to music more and more by remastering it and altering it from original performances which again I find disturbing insulting and unnecessary. History need not be rewritten but simply explored

if they are super durable and have long range cannons going slower increases firing time against the target in question before it would trample said target. Also empires use of fear weapons would serve this doctrine well. unstoppable beast moving to kill you slowly because theres nothing you can do to stop it. fits tarkin doctrine well

Reminds me of a certain crimial mastermind in Mass Effect, who came from an isolated primitive species, but managed to integrate himself into galactic society in an incredibly powerful position. Now I imagined a young Ewok who managed to escape the planet to become a top-grade engineer. It's even possible with how much gear the imperial garrison/battle of Endor probably left on the planet

I find the simplest explanation to be that Ubese has sounds that are outside human hearing range; there's more variation here we aren't hearing because we don't hear higher or lower pitches. To put it another way: It sounds short and repetitive to us because our ears aren't receiving all the information. To a listener that can hear into the ultra- and infra- sonic, there's more info than we're getting. This happens in nature: Flowers have markings in ultraviolet that we can't see, but that guide bees to land there. Dogs famously hear into the ultrasonic, where we cannot. When a symbol has more range of variation, it takes fewer symbols to represent the same information. In most character-based languages, e.g. Chinese, it only takes one or two characters to write what would be an entire word in another language: One character takes the place of many letters. Similarly, in spoken Mandarin, a single syllable can be 5 different words, depending on what tone it's said in. If Ubese is happening in a tonal range outside of human hearing, how short could words be and convey entire sentences of meaning? We might be hearing nothing but the shadows of the words.

So basically it was bad for different reasons than the reasons people usually give.
